There are 4 different variants of the zealot:
Covenant: This Sangheili wears yellow armor with blue and gray markings
Storm: The zealot's armor is a shade of red with 4 blue lights on the forehead
Assassin: Zealot Assassins are higher ranked than normal zealots. They resemble Storm zealots, albeit their armor is deeper red in coloration, and the helmet lights are yellow. They often spawn with large groups of Stealth Sangheili.
Merg Vol: These zealots wear a grey and yellow combat harness, similar to that of a Supreme Commander. These serve as part of the primary command structure of Merg Vol's Covenant.

The rank of Zealot is one of the highest military titles within the Covenant, and the highest rank within Jul 'Mdama's Covenant, with Jul 'Mdama himself being a zealot. The Swords of Sanghelios even made use of zealots.
Each variant of zealot comes with their own spawn egg.
