Brown crop beetle
A Crop Beetle is a neutral mob which can spawn anywhere but requires tall grass in order to do so. On easy few spawn, on normal more spawn, and on hard many spawn. They do not drop anything when killed.
Appearence[]
Crop beetles are small, have small legs and there are 3 different varients of them. The first is dark green, has small mouth pincers, and wings enabling it to fly. The second is dark red has wings and is able to fly, and a horn on the front of its head. The third is brown and has a horn on the top of its head, but no wings.
Behavior[]
Crop beetles can be a bother. As their name suggests Crop beetles can destroy crops and saplings. When a crop or sapling is destroyed by a Crop beetle, they will not be dropped as an item, not even the wheat seeds for example. Crop beetles make a buzzing sound and so knowing when one is near can be easy. They tend to stick together in swarms especially those that fly, buzzing together and somtimes moving around.
Combat[]
Crop beetles will attack you when provoked by approaching them and will do half of a heart of damage after hitting you 3 times in easy, 2 in normal, and 1 in hard. They can not be killed with any weapons, but punching them or trying to swat them away will cause red and green Crop beetles to fall to the ground momentarily, allowing you to kill them by walking or jumping on them. Red and green Crop beetles have 1 heart of health and brown Crop beetles have 2 hearts of health.
